PARADISE POINT RESORT & SPA INTRODUCES NEW “CREATE-YOUR-OWN” BEAUTY LINE EXPERIENCE
San Diego Luxury Spa Introduces Salt Of The Earth Blend Bar for Guests to Create Customized Creams and Scrubs
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – January 28, 2014 – The award-winning Spa at Paradise Point, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, recently introduced Salt Of The Earth Blend Bar, a beauty booth within the San Diego spa that allows guests to completely customize beauty products such as creams and body scrubs with their own unique selection of scents.
One of only two Southern California spa locations, the new Salt of the Earth Blend Bar hand mixes products using only natural ingredients and aromas. The Spa at Paradise Point offers 10 different signature aromas, including island-inspired options like toasted coconut and white ginger lily, which can be combined in varying quantities to create an individualized fragrance.
To create the customized bath or body product, the selected aromatic oils and ingredients are placed alongside an unscented cream or scrub base in a coconut-shaped bowl. The ingredients are then mixed and whipped by hand, packaged and stamped with a personalized label. Finished products can be used during spa treatments at the Spa at Paradise Point, enjoyed at home or given as a unique gift.
A stop by the Salt of the Earth Blend Bar in San Diego can also be added on to the luxury spa resort’s “Island Origins” package. This two-hour spa experience includes a private botanical tour of Paradise Point’s tropical 44-acre grounds, home to over 600 types of exotic foliage from more than 20 countries around the world. Guided by a spa therapist, guests meander through lush gardens as they gather some of the island’s most remedial and rare specimens. Hand-picking ingredients along the way, guests discover their natural therapeutic properties while learning how the collected ingredients evolve into commonly used products like oils and exfoliants.
Following the tour, guests enjoy a quartet of spa treatments that utilize ginger, hibiscus, tea tree and eucalyptus; four of the island’s most powerful plants in their end form.
The 7,050-square-foot Spa at Paradise Point is one of San Diego’s top spas, offering eight treatment rooms, including a couple’s bungalow with a private garden courtyard and whirlpool, fitness studio, and a 900-square-foot salon for manicure and pedicure services. Treatments include access to the resort pool, fitness studio, eucalyptus steam room and sauna.
