Whether the pastime of choice is lounging by the pool, an exhilarating jet ski adventure, or a bike ride along the bay, Paradise Point Resort & Spa offers a multitude of recreational activities for all ages. This tropical island resort offers a state-of-the-art fitness center, a world-class SpaTerre, five swimming pools including one just for children, an adults-only pool and a beautiful lagoon pool with a sandy beach area are just the start of the long list of options that make Paradise Point a leisure leader. An 18-hole putting golf course stretches along the property’s main entrance and is a perfect practice ground for aspiring junior PGA pros or a just-for-fun activity for the whole family.
Paradise Point is most well-known for its private, full-service marina. Here, aquatic activities such as sailing, jet skiing, motor boating and kayaking can be learned and enjoyed. Another popular activity at the resort is bike rentals. Cruisers and Quads make roaming near and far relaxing and fun.
Courts of all sorts can be reserved for family games. Five tennis courts mean nearly round-the-clock availability and professional instructors can offer coaching and tips for any level player. A sand volleyball court inside the property’s perimeter is available, or a court may be arranged beachside. And it’s “air paradise” if basketball is the name of the game. Paradise Point also offers guests the use of its own NBA regulation basketball court. Bocce ball, ping pong, horse shoes and lawn croquet round out the list of fun-in-the-sun things to do. When the abundance of choices make it hard to decide, the Guest Recreation Department, offered onsite, can assist guests in planning activities during their stay.
Special activities, offered only in the summer and holiday seasons, include the Kids Kamp which hosts activities such as swimming, tennis and basketball. Also offered is arts and crafts, treasure hunts and guided nature walks through the abundant lagoons and gardens. The resort hosts “Dive-In” Movie Night where guests can watch some of their favorite films from the comfort of a poolside lounge or stretched out on a pool float. Other activities for guests include waterskiing and half-day sailing lessons, bonfires on the beach and S’mores. Water Sports - Our full service marina has a variety of boats available, including sailboats, kayaks and jet skis. Basic operational instruction provided at time rental. Sailboats – take a leisurely cruise on Mission Bay in one our sloops. Lessons & skippers available for the less experienced.
Jet Ski – experience the high-speed thrills of our three-person sit-down type personal watercraft. Note: no one under 12 years of age allowed to ride on watercraft.
Kayaks – Paddle your way through a day of fun on Mission Bay on a single or double kayak.
Fishing –nearby Dana Landing location will help you plan a fishing day for the whole family. Rental fishing rods, bait tackle are available to fish from shore or one of our fishing skiffs. Our fleet of 6 passenger Sport fishing yachts is available for charters for ½ day to 2 day trips.
Motorboats – Choose from our fleet of 6 passenger runabouts. Renter or operator must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license. No previous boating experience necessary. Basic operational instruction provided at time rental.
Waterskiing – Our driver takes up to four passengers out in our Ski Nautique competition Ski Boat. All-inclusive package features Water-skis, wakeboards, kneeboards, wetsuits, life vests, gas, oil & instructions. Reservations required.
Fitness Center: Located in the spa, the fitness center includes a full circuit training with Cybex equipment, a variety of cardio machines, as well as free weights. Open daily from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Daily fee. Must be 18 years and older. For more information (858) 490-6350.
- State of the Art Cardio Equipment by Life Fitness and Matrix - Stair Stepper, Elliptical and Treadmill Machines, Stationary and Recumbent Bikes. All Life Fitness machines have attached flat screen televisions.
- Weight Training – Cybex Circuit Machines and dumbbells
- Other Amenities – Shower, lockers, eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, water and towels available. Personal Trainer – by appointment only.
- Tennis: Five lighted tennis courts and are located at the eastward end of the resort. Rent by ½ hour or hour. Tennis instruction available by appointment.
- 18-hole Putting Green: The putting links at Banana Beach is an 18 hole – architect designed putting golf course. Putters and golf balls available at the Island Market for a fee.
Kids Kamp - Kids can enjoy activities such as tennis, basketball, arts & crafts and much more. Half Day (morning or afternoon session, additional cost for lunch) or Full Day (includes lunch). Contact Guest Recreation at (858) 581-5934 for additional information.
- Children must be between the ages of 4 and 12, and fully potty trained.
- Minimum of 3 children per half day for kamp to operate.
- 24 hour notice is required to participate in the kamp.
- 2 hour notice for cancellation, otherwise a cancellation fee will be charged at half the session.

Free Fun activities:
- Dive-in Movie Night: Wednesday & Saturdays at 8pm at the Main Pool (starting June 30 through September 1, 2007).
- Croquet – a 9 wicket t course is located next to the Tennis courts. Mallets and balls available at the Pro Shop.
- Ping Pong – the table is located near the Pro Shop
- Volleyball – sand court located next to the children’s pool. Volleyballs are available at the Pro Shop.
