  • Ballast Point – What started out as a small group of home brewers has evolved into a company with more than 40 styles of beer and spirits. Make your way to their tasting room in Little Italy, where you can wash down fresh oysters along with your ale.

           - Craft Beer Beginner: Pale Ale

           - Craft Beer Connoisseur: Calico Amber Ale

  • Green Flash – Since opening in 2002, this top San Diego brewery has focused on developing a wide assortment of award-winning craft ales. Named after the green flicker that occurs right after sunset, the brewery has a basic warehouse-style tasting room that focuses on the important things: the 30 essential, seasonal, and special brews on tap.

  • Hess – Quickly becoming one of the top breweries in San Diego, Hess has only been open since summer 2010. Their tasting room in North Park, formerly an Evangelical bookstore, is suspended on a sky bridge above the brewing area.  Given your dog isn’t afraid of heights, guests of our pet-friendly hotel in San Diego will can also bring their dogs to Hess.

  • Karl Strauss – One of the oldest craft breweries in San Diego, Karl Strauss now boasts eight brewery restaurants in Southern California.   • Stone – End your tour of San Diego’s best breweries at the largest in the city! High on hop content, Stone beers also contain alcohol percentages that are well above the average. Atmosphere at this brew house is also off the charts; gothic style décor is accented by gardens, fountains, fire pits, and bocce ball courts.
