Sunday Fun Day Summer Concerts in San Diego: Band Bios

Summer has arrived, which means it’s time to amp up your Sunday afternoons at the legendary Barefoot Bar & Grill!  Now through September 29, San Diego’s favorite rock cover bands are back on the bayside stage for the Sunday Fun Day Summer Concert Series. Walk or sail up Sundays 12-4 PM and enjoy the live music as Barefoot serves up local brews, signature cocktails and unrivaled views of Mission Bay.

While all of the Sunday Fun Day summer concert bands cover the most popular rock songs from the past and present, each one brings their unique style to the Barefoot stage. Get to know a few of our bands below, and then view the full band line-up for our San Diego summer concert series here.

Steal Dawn – 6/16, 7/7, 9/29 (Last show of the Sunday Fun Day Summer Concert Series)

Performing for over 18 years, this San Diego cover band has a very diverse music style but specializes in classic rock & roll dance music. Their favorites include Aerosmith, Bruno Mars, Lenny Kravitz, The Police, and Maroon 5.

Theo & the Zydeco Patrol – 6/23, 7/14, 8/18

Originally from Louisiana, this band combines Blues, Southwest Louisiana Cajun, and Zydeco styles of music with rock favorites for a distinctive sound not found at any other San Diego summer concert series.

Private Domain – 6/30, 9/2 (Labor Day)

One of our most popular bands from last year’s San Diego summer concert series, Private Domain has been playing the best songs from the past to today’s hits for almost 15 years!

Slow Burn – 8/25

Formed in 2000 and based out of North San Diego, Slow Burn offers an eclectic mix of music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. Their music may range from southern blues rock to newer tunes, but at our San Diego summer concerts, they always favor rock music that makes you want to dance!
