San Diego's Most Unique Meeting Space
Webster’s dictionary defines “space” in some of the following ways; 1) The infinite extension of the three-dimensional region in which all matter exists 2) The expanse in which the solar system, stars, and galaxies exist; the Universe 3) One of the blank pieces of type or other means used for separating words or characters. However, for the purpose of this blog and an award given recently to Paradise Point by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA), "space" is 4) area provided and set aside for a particular purpose. This is something that Paradise Point knows all too well.
Why? Because the resort occupies 44 acres of it, with over 60,000 square feet dedicated solely to meetings and events with Southern California flair. The best part of all, Paradise Point is located just 7 miles/10 minutes from downtown San Diego and the airport and surrounded by a mile of white sandy beach in the heart of Mission Bay. But as you soon find out when you arrive at the beautiful tropical island that is Paradise, space, though defined as an expanse occupied by the universe, does not have a universal look and appeal. This unique San Diego meeting space is what separates Paradise Point from all the others.
Located indoors just off the water’s edge, the main conference center at Paradise Point offers over 20 separate meeting rooms with 8 additional meeting rooms (Executive Meeting Suites) adjacent in an intimate garden setting. In addition, the Mission Bay Room can be found just across from the main lobby. This standalone ballroom is 3950 square feet and is complemented by an 1800 square foot patio, making it the perfect spot for satellite registration or a welcome reception. Like most of the space found indoors at Paradise Point, the Mission Bay Room offers plenty of natural light and is coupled with direct outside access to an adjoining patio, deck or private lawn. Electronic readerboards can also be found throughout Paradise Point’s San Diego conference center and meeting spaces, along with comfortable chairs, new laminate-top conference tables and state-of-the-art communications and internet capabilities.
In addition to a mile of beachfront, San Diego’s conference destination offers 30,000 square feet of lawns, patios and pool decks, providing groups with various backdrops for group meals, activities and themed outdoor events. Whether it’s a surfer’s beach party at the sandy cove or a Hawaiian luau on Paradise Lawn, be assured that guests at Paradise Point will be treated to a quintessential San Diego experience at its finest. There is no missing the 1100 palm trees on property, not to mention the many lagoons and waterways that meander throughout. Combine all of these unique spaces, and there’s no question that Paradise Point is certainly one of the most unique meeting venues in San Diego and California.
