Real San Diego Weddings: Megan + Jacob
From a non-traditional start to a customary Jewish wedding, Megan and Jacob’s San Diego wedding story is anything but ordinary. The couple first met online, through the help of Jacob’s mother. When the time came to get married, Megan wanted a traditional Jewish wedding with an unconventional (tropical) twist: a San Diego beach wedding location in the form of Paradise Point Resort & Spa.
Mazel tov to this newly married couple, who share their real San Diego wedding story, inspiration, and snapshots below.
A run-down of their San Diego wedding day:
The traditional Jewish wedding began with the tish (groom’s Torah reading) and b’deken (veiling of the bride) that took place in the Bay View and Dockside Rooms, followed by a ceremony in the Paradise Ballroom under an elaborate huppah. The celebration came to a close with a lavish San Diego wedding reception in the Sunset Ballroom with over 220 guests in attendance.
Why they chose Paradise Point as their San Diego wedding venue:
The amazing gardens and the spectacular views from every ballroom window and deck that brought the outdoors in.
Their San Diego wedding theme and inspiration:
Something elegant and whimsical: an enchanted forest feeling where romance blossoms!
