Guest Since 1968
My family first started coming to Vacation Village in 1968. We went every year and sometimes our whole neighborhood from Sepulveda, CA would come at the same time and take over a whole section of the island. We even brought our own Stingray bikes to ride on the trails around the resort and Mission Bay. I remember the full 18-hole executive golf course that once stood on the East side of the property where now many more bungalows and the Waterfall Pool now sit. The Bahia Bell would stop at the marina on the weekends, until one time when the sternwheeler crashed into the dock and damaged it. Where the main lobby is now, The Carousel Room restaurant was in full swing, with spinning appetizer trays.
As the years went on and the name changed to Paradise Point, I still made it a habit to visit there. In 2002 when I met my now-wife Lisa, I took her there for an incredible weekend on the bay. It was only a few weeks after we met. Those romantic moments will carry through new memories as she turns 50 this year along with the hotel. Looking forward to our next journey with you people!
