For the longest time, we have fondly called the little cove within Paradise Point "Bush’s Bay".  This goes back to the late sixties.  One summer, my family could not afford to go on a real vacation, so every day my dad and I would drive to Paradise Point.  My dad would swim in the cove and when he got to the middle he would roll over on his back and just float.  You could look out and see his big belly sticking up; he could float for hours.  While he did this, I would wander the shores all around the resort. This tradition continued when I met the woman who would become my wife. Although a native San Diegan, she was unaware of this treasure spot.  We would go regularly with our two kids and have the greatest of times. The kids always begged to climb the tower, and we would always give in.

We always admired the bungalows that surrounded the cove and vowed that someday we would rent one.  After 30 years of marriage, we finally got that opportunity.  We love to stroll throughout the resort and admire the lush landscaping which creates that tropical feel.  To us, it’s like experiencing a tropical paradise in your own backyard.  We love to have brunch at the Barefoot Bar & Grill while taking in our favorite libations. This love-affair with Paradise Point has been going strong now for more than 30 years.  Paradise Point is a Southern California gem and we have always recommended it others.
