An Award-Winning Meeting Venue: “Best Hotel Space”
In January 2012, San Diego was fortunate to be the host city for the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Convention and its 3,500 meeting planner attendees. The convention itself focused a great deal on the state of the meetings industry, and in particular, on technology and innovation taking place among meeting venues in San Diego, across the nation, and around the world.
As one of San Diego’s top meeting locations, Paradise Point was fortunate to have numerous meeting professionals and planners stay at our conference hotel and review the property for future events.
Some months later, the PCMA publication Convene Magazine is celebrating the best meetings industry venues, destinations and service providers in their August “Best of Show” edition. As determined by Convene’s readers and editors, Paradise Point has been named one of the top five meeting hotels worldwide in the “Best Hotel Spaces” category.
Paradise Point is honored to be recognized by the industry experts for its 62,000 square feet of flexible waterfront meeting facilities located in the heart of San Diego. Poised on Mission Bay, planners can choose from unique meeting venues including bay view ballrooms, spacious decks, and tropical gardens and lawns. Each setting is distinctive and full of Southern California flair, making events more memorable for attendees. Though this 44-acre island may be insulated, it certainly isn’t isolated; Paradise Point is located just 10 minutes from downtown San Diego and the airport.
Other local providers graced with awards are the San Diego Convention Center (Best Food & Beverage) and the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau (Best Technology Tools). No domestic or international city walked away with more awards, reinforcing San Diego’s reputation as a top meeting destination globally.
